The Grip of Grace
“I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up.”
Acts 20:32
Because Jesus Christ broke out of the grave, there has been an outbreak of grace all over this world! And because Jesus broke the grip of the grave, every believer lives in the grip of grace!
As God’s child by blood, Jesus continually pours into your life abundant grace for all occasions and all situations that you face. Grace (unmerited favor) is always working to lift you up above your burdens and brokenness and into His blessings.
We need to see grace as the propellant that keeps us moving forward through the hills and valleys of our lives.
Do you have disappointments in your past that have stifled your faith and caused you to get stuck in your tracks? There are times when the spirit of fear whispers in your ear, "You are never going to overcome the obstacles that try to paralyze us." Have you ever felt like life was leading you to a dead end? If this is you, God wants to reintroduce you to His grace as an untapped source of power and strength.
Never forget that grace is never fueled by fear, driven by doubts, or measured by our performance, but by God’s presence!
God’s grace gives us the contentment to stop and wait on God without fearing what’s coming next in life. Grace provides the precise measure of inspiration and motivation to do only what is assigned for the current circumstance. You have more grace than you will ever need for any predicament or problem.
While we may fail to step forward, remember, grace is never fixed on the past or preoccupied with tomorrow, but rests securely in the present so we can feel like God has a grip on our grief and guilt. Grace is truly a unique treasure that holds your life together.
God’s grace establishes boundary lines that surround us with His protection, provision, and power. It works like an electric fence that the enemy cannot cross! It declares a protective blood barrier that keeps every believer safe from the evil one.
Never allow your past or your pain to determine your future. Don’t worry about what others are doing – or what you should have done. Listen carefully to the voice of grace that will bring you joy and breathe peace into your soul. You do not have to strive in your flesh for things to happen, let grace establish your steps and let it open the doors to your future.
With the resurrection of Jesus Christ behind us a few days now, the power of God is always before us moving us into His path. Let's experience the power of God’s grace in refreshing ways. It’s His grace that leads us out of the wilderness, empowers our walk, and brings us into a new place with His promises.
Pressing On Together,
Pastor Dave
