COVID: Fear or Fact
"…For God has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' So we can confidently say, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?'" Hebrews 13:5-6
If you judged America’s current COVID-19 situation only by the headlines, you’d come away thinking that we’re spiraling back into pandemic disaster. Los Angeles County has reimposed mask mandates on their citizens, and the Centers for Disease Control is sending out conflicting information concerning who should, and should not, wear a mask. Meanwhile, it seems that the mainstream media coverage of the Delta variant is soaked in alarmism.
The last thing we need is more fear running wild through our minds concerning this new strain. While I realize the seriousness of the Delta variant, at the same time we need solid facts that can help steer us into the future with faith and not fear.
Think about this, in Washington D.C. there were 21 homicides throughout the month of July compared to eight delta variant deaths, according to FOX5 DC.
Research across this country are showing dramatic downturns in COVID-19 deaths in this country.
Keep in mind that this new variant has passed through Israel, India, and parts of Europe already, and we are learning a lot from those nations. And the facts show that their hospitalizations and death rates are dramatically lower. Now that almost 70% of Americans are now vaccinated, it's also a fact that the infection rate and the death rate will both continue to stay low.
I believe that Americans are resilient and intelligent! Businesses and churches have learned a lot over the past year concerning this virus, and they know how to take care of customers and congregants without the government stripping them of their freedoms AGAIN by way of fear and manipulation! It seems that our media, politicians, and certain government officials are trying to regain control of our lives through a new round of confusion and hype!
My big concern is who is going to hold China accountable for it's crimes against humanity? This demonic deed designed to destroy America has now killed more people around the world than Hitler killed in WW2. This is just wrong!
U.S. Representative Michael McCaul, from Texas, shared new findings over the weekend from the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s probe into the origins of COVID-19. He is now accusing the Chinese Communist Party of engaging in the “greatest cover-up in human history.” He also said that the CCP is, “Very concerned by the new findings by the U.S. government. China is playing with fire because they were genetically manipulating at the Wuhan lab this gain-of-function that was taking place.”
King David was right on when he said in Psalm 27:1, "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; whom shall I be afraid?"
What a powerful truth whether we are facing a dangerous virus variant, a depressive family issue, or a discouraging health report. As God's people, we should always strive to walk through this crazy, confusing world with God's promises, and never with the world's paranoia! God will NEVER saddle your life with fleshly fear of any kind! So rebuke fleshly influences, or demonic influences if fear tries to surround your thinking by immediately praying powerfully, "in the name of Jesus!"
