Rainbow Religion
“You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge Me,” declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:6
Layshia Clarendon, Women’s National Basketball Association first openly non-binary transgender player said to ESPN a few weeks ago, “I feel very woman, and I feel very man. I feel both, and I feel neither. I feel like all the gender expansiveness that exists in the world is in me.” The story’s author, referred to Clarendon as “he” and “she” throughout the article, and writes, “The primary driving force for Clarendon is her new religious faith.”
We now have in America the rainbow religion that is taking men and women, young and old, into a strange and bizarre faith realm. This is a religion that now enables its followers to speak into existence their identity of choice, in complete defiance of their bodily reality. Noelle Mering writes concerning this new found faith, “A society of mini-gods each in pursuit of its own power is far more like hell than heaven.”
The rise of the rainbow religion is developing a victimhood culture that’s establishing a corrupt cultural code designed to literally destroy a whole generation’s faith! And this is very alarming to me!
Making ourselves gods might feel magical at first, but it always ends in misery. We simply were not created to be gods! This is the greatest deception Satan ever planted in the human mind! And for sure, it requires way too much denial of what reality is. And then I think of all the mutilated bodies it takes in order to be a member of the rainbow religion.
Physical deception is a dangerous place, but spiritual deception is even more dangerous.
So what does Jesus think of America’s rainbow religion? Does He endorse it? I think Jesus is greatly disturbed by this rank religion for several reasons.
First, anything that disfigures the design of the human body is rejected by Jesus. He was the Creator of all creation, especially the human body as either male or female. He created each sexual part perfectly designed to bless the identity of a man or a woman. The sacredness that contributes to the sanctity of life is precious to God. God did not make a mistake in how He created man and woman.
Secondly, anything that destroys the design of marriage between a man and a woman is rejected by Jesus. Let’s be very clear, homosexuality and lesbianism was completely rejected by Him during His earthly ministry, so why would that change now?
America’s new rainbow religion is filled with, as Paul said, “false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ.” Its twisted theologians are hearing from Satan who is, as Jesus said, “the father of lies.” Its clergy are preaching to their lost sheep, as Paul said, “a different gospel” that is “perverted” to the core. Its congregants with their false faith, now fill the airwaves that are controlled by, as Paul said, “the prince and the power of the air” sharing a sinful sacredness.
Countless souls will be lost for eternity because of the mangled message of mercy peddled by America's rainbow religion. This is a heart breaker to all of us who know the truth that has wondrously set us free. For most of us, this is a hard group of confused and deceived people to reach. I think we should be praying for a great harvest of lost souls. We also need to take the words of God seriously, as communicated by King David, “No one who practices deceit will dwell in My house; no one who speaks lies will stand in My presence” (Psalm 101:7).
